Our experience with 2002s running very stiff front struts and springs (coilovers) is that the front bumper fender mounting tabs can fail after 15 to 25k miles. One solution is to purchase our special reinforced tab front corner pieces. We offer this options for both early and late models of the front bumpers. This helps reduce overall bumper movement and provides better structural support. On the left, you can see the original non-gusseted tab and on the right is the gusseted tab.
